Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Task Board collects, how it is used and how you can contact us. Task Board is an internal task delegation app run by Automation Controls, Nagpur, India ("we", "us"). It is used only by our staff and the people we work with.

1. Information from Google sign-in

When you choose Sign in with Google, we ask Google only for your e-mail address (and the confirmation that it is verified). We do not ask for, read or store your contacts, files, e-mails, calendar or any other Google data.

We use the e-mail address only to:

  • check that you are on our staff list, and refuse access if you are not;
  • show you your own tasks and record your name and e-mail on the tasks, replies and changes you make.

2. Information you enter in Task Board

  • Tasks, replies, remarks, deadlines and status changes.
  • Photos you attach to a task or reply.

This information is stored in our company's own Google Sheets and Google Drive and, for the office version, on our own server.

3. Information from our staff list

Your name, e-mail address and mobile number come from our internal staff list. We use the mobile number to send WhatsApp messages about your tasks (a new task, a reply, a completed task) and, if you sign in with a code, to send that code. The sign-in code is also sent to your e-mail address.

4. Sign-in on your device

After you sign in, a random sign-in key is saved in your browser so that you stay signed in for up to 365 days. Only a scrambled form of this key is kept on our side. You can sign out at any time with the Sign out button, which deletes it.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not use it for advertising. It is seen only by the people involved in a task and by our administrators. WhatsApp messages are sent through our messaging provider (Maytapi) only to deliver the notification. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

Task Board's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. How long we keep information

Task records are kept as part of our business records for as long as we need them. The saved sign-in on your device expires after 365 days or when you sign out. If you leave the company, your e-mail is removed from the staff list and Task Board no longer lets you in.

8. Your choices

  • You can sign out of Task Board at any time.
  • You can remove Task Board's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • You can ask us to correct or delete information about you, subject to our legal and business record-keeping needs.

9. Security

Access is limited to people on our staff list. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and can be tried only a few times. Our data is stored in our company's Google Workspace account and on our own server.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
